  • Virginia Condon gained her wings on May 5, 2017. She was born on January 31, 1930 to Stella (Chojnacki) and Joseph Heagney in Chicago, IL.

Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, James Kervin and Robert Condon, her parents and her children, JoAnn Kervin and Timothy Kervin.

She is survived by her three children: Patrick (Nancy) Kervin, Barbara (John) Torres and Michael Kervin, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and her sister, Josephine Kuffel.

The family would like to thank Dettranay Wiseman for many years of compassion, love and devoted care for our mother.

She gained her wings in Hot Springs, AR but previously resided in Bensenville, IL for about 40 years.

She was a loving and caring woman with a laugh that would light up a room. She will be truly missed by many. Rest in peace Mom…dance with the angels!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Virginia was a very generous member of our Auxiliary of Post 10483. She delighted us with her humor and her involvement with helping our veterans. She was involved when she could be. In later years she gave her moral support. God bless her !

I am saddened to hear of the death of Virginia Condon. I met Virginia at the Freeport Resort and Club in the 1980's when I first traveled to the Grand Bahama Island with my sister, Ruth Vanik. As I returned there each year in February, Virginia was a loving and welcoming presence. May she be enjoying the presence of her loving God for all eternity. I offer my condolences to her family. With love, Sister Virginia Spiegel

I have been trying to contact Virginia for a few years now, and was unable to. She has been on my mind so much lately, and was so saddened to find this news this morning. I became friends with Virginia in 1999 in Freeport, Bahamas at Club Caribe restaurant. We created some very special memories, ones I will hold close to my heart. Her huge personality and loving heart are sorely missed.
