James Oscar Koller died peacefully in his sleep Friday December 27th. He was 85 years old. Jim graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Minnesota and married Patricia Church before serving as a Lieutenant JG in the US Navy.
He retired from US West Communications to live in Hot Springs Village for 30 years. He was president of the Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild, a fundraiser for the United Way and on the Board of Directors for the Hot Springs Jazz Society. Jim loved sports and was a three time district tennis champion. He was also the DeSoto Dancers president and on the committee for the historical Hot Springs Bath Houses.
Jim loved life, music, traveling, fine dining and the lakeside mountain view from his easy chair. His wife and two children will dearly miss him. Arrangements entrusted with CedarVale Funeral Home of the Hot Springs Village.
