Roy Schoenrock a resident of Hot Springs Village since 1989 passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024, at his home. He was 93 years old.


Roy was born in Green Bay Wi. October 26, 1930, and later moved to Minneapolis, Mn where he grew up. He was confirmed at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Minneapolis Mn. He was a Korean War veteran. He worked for 38 years in the elevator trade, mostly with Otis Elevator and retired from there in 1988.


On June 4, 1955, he married Lois Olson and they lived in Minneapolis, later moving to Prior Lake Mn. They had 2 sons, David and Charles both from Prior Lake, Mn and 2 daughters, Christine Boswell from League City, Texas and Laura Hoisington from Cumberland Wi. There are 9 grandchildren, Jodell, Nichole, Anthony, Aaron, Lindsay, Bradley, Cassandra, Tia and Corinne and 14 great grandchildren.


Roy was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Pearl Schoenrock. Brothers Ned and Dale. Surviving are his wife Lois, children David Chris Charles and Laura, grandchildren, great grandchildren, 1 brother, Lee of Deer River Mn one sister, June of St. Paul, Mn. and many nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be March 5, 2023, 10:00 am with the memorial service at 11:00 am held at Faith Lutheran Church 1196 DeSoto Blvd. There will be a luncheon held immediately following. Also at a date to be determined there will be a memorial service held at Sunset Memorial in Minneapolis, Mn. Also, at a date to be determined. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial.


Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.


Arrangements are by Cedarvale funeral home in Hot Springs Village.
