Thomas E. Barton

Thomas E. Barton, age 92, passed away on December 25, 2021, at CHI with his wife Arlene by his side. Tom was born September 20, 1929, to Thomas Barton and Laura Sherman Barton in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated high school in Hayden, Colorado and the University of Colorado with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked in many states including Colorado, Nevada, California, Arkansas, Michigan, Illinois, New Mexico and Florida. 

During his life, Tom enjoyed scuba diving and singing with Barbershop Choruses. Twice he sang at international competitions with his chorus. He loved to play chess and do Sudoku Puzzles. As a handyman, he could fix almost anything. Traveling was a joy and he had many trips overseas as well as in the U.S.

Moving to Hot Springs Village from Florida in 2008, he felt this was like a slice of Heaven.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Arlene, sons; Thomas and David and daughters; Elaine McClaren and Laura Green.

There will be no services.

Arrangements were made under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home inside the Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
