William Lloyd Stucker

William Lloyd Stucker, 91 of Hot Springs Village, passed away on September 13, 2021. William was born on November 16, 1929 in Amarillo, TX and raised in Plainview TX, Mr. Stucker was active in his high school band program and took up photography as a hobby. He attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with a B.A. of Arts with a major in Journalism. After serving his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp., Mr. Stucker went on to earn a Masters of Education Degree from Texas Tech University.

As a Marine, Mr. Stucker was one of the first three members of the Marine Corps Reserve Unit on the Texas Tech Campus, and served with the 40th Special Infantry Company Reserve Unit, and then on active duty with the Motion Picture Production Unit at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Mr. Stucker continued his professional career in administration roles at several higher education institutions including the University of Missouri - Columbia, MO, Westminster College in Fulton, MO and Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Mr. Stucker was later awarded an honorary doctorate of law degree from William Woods College in Fulton, MO. Throughout his life and beginning at an early age, Mr. Stucker held a passion for flying, later obtaining his private and commercial pilot's license, with an instrument rating for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft. In his later years, Mr. Stucker resided in Naples, FL where he owned a successful real estate magazine franchise, before retiring to Hot Springs Village, AR.

Mr. Stucker was active in a number of community activities and hobbies including tennis, pickleball, fishing, boating, and buying and modifying numerous cars, scooters and trikes. Mr. Stucker was a member of the GWRRA Chapter AR "E" "Eaglewings" club.

William is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Jane Stucker Wiley. He is survived by: Son Jeff Stucker of Bedford, TX; Daughter Nancy Brandt of Elizabeth, CO; Granddaughter Savannah Brandt and Great Granddaughter Brynn Brandt both of Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Stucker is also survived by his sweetheart Jennie Hager and her children, (spouses) and grandchildren.

Mr. Stucker was a loved and respected member of the community and will be missed by all who knew and cherished him. Memorial Service will be held on September 22, 2021, 1:30 pm at Christ of the Hills Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR. The family would like to thank the staff of Right at Home, and Dierksen hospice for their dedication and attention to Bill. Funeral arrangements entrusted with CEDARVALE FUNERAL HOME.
