David Lee Tebbe passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2022, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. He was 80 years old.
Born on February 3rd, 1942, in St. Louis, MO to Patrick K. Tebbe and Lucille C. Tebbe (Hongsermeier), Dave was a 1960 graduate of St. John the Baptist Catholic HS in St. Louis, MO. He lived in Washington, MO before retiring to Hot Springs Village, AR.
Dave was a master at Mechanical Engineering and utilized his skills in many jobs. He had a great love for fishing, wood working, and inventing. If he wasn’t on the water, he could be found in his shop crafting something out of exotic woods, building cabinets or creating a new tool to make his fabrications easier.
Dave will be remembered as a caring and generous individual willing to help anyone out. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, a doting grandfather, and a fiercely loyal friend. No challenge was ever insurmountable, and his strength and determination were evident when he won his two-year battle with cancer. His passing will create a hole in many people’s lives, but will leave many cherished and fond memories.
Surviving family members include his beloved wife Shirley M. Tebbe (Klund) of Hot Springs Village, his son, Jeffrey S. Tebbe of League City, TX, daughter, Jill M. Cortier and her husband James Cortier of New Port Richey, FL.; a daughter-in-law, Vijitha Chekuri of Issaquah, WA, along with 8 Grandchildren: Jordan Tebbe, Julia Tebbe, Johnathan Tebbe, Jake Tebbe, Bella Cortier, Ally Tebbe, Alex Cortier, and Josh Cortier, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dave is preceded in death by his parents: Patrick & Lucille Tebbe of St. Louis, MO; his sister Nancy L. Havlicek of St. Louis, MO and his son Christopher D. Tebbe of Issaquah, WA.
There will be a memorial service for family and friends at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, September 10, 2022 beginning at 10am with a small reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Cancer Association.
