Donald Arthur Haroldson

Donald Arthur Haroldson, 80, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 20, 2025 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born May 22, 1944 in Evanston, Illinois to the late Lester D. and Hattie J. (Hagen) Haroldson.

Donald grew up in Chicago. He moved to Skokie, Illinois in 1954 and attended public schools there. He graduated from Niles Township West High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964 and was discharged in 1968 with the rank of Sergeant. He saw active duty in Alaska, Japan, South Korea and Minnesota.

Donnie started his career with the United States Post Office in Winnetka, Illinois in 1968 and took early retirement in 1992. On April 1, 1983, he married the love of his life, Barbara Oenning. They lived in Prospect Heights, Illinois for 10 years, and then in 1995, moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. They remained together until he lost his greatest treasure on January 12th, 2022.

He had many friends in and around Hot Springs Village. He was a life long member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also an avid jigsaw puzzle solver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Allen Haroldson. He is survived by one brother, Ralph Andrew Haroldson of Luxemburg, Wisconsin.
