Dwayne Ballew, beloved husband of Marcia Ballew, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, intellect, and adventure. Dwayne met Marcia, the love of his life, while attending the University of Texas at Austin.

Dwayne earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, as well as a master’s degree from the University of Dallas Business School.

Dwayne’s versatile career included 20 years with Texas Instruments in Dallas, telecom companies, real estate and property management. In June of 1999, he and Marcia moved into the home they had built in Hot Springs Village. Designing and building a spec house and remodeling several other homes were projects Dwayne & Marcia enjoyed together.

Dwayne and Marcia loved to travel, embarking on countless domestic and international trips. Together with friends, they enjoyed approximately 60 cruises, playing bridge and exploring the world. They proudly celebrated both their 50th and 55th wedding anniversaries at sea.

In February of 2026 they celebrated 59 years of marriage and wonderful adventures.

Dwayne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a very special person to family and friends.

Graveside service will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas on Saturday, July 18th at 1:30 p.m. with a memorial to follow at a later date in Hot Springs Village.
