John (Jack) Wallisch of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed away peacefully March 7, 2024. He was born December 5, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to john and Bernadine Wallisch.
John served as a cook in the US Army for 2 years.
He was employed as a printer at West Publishing in St. Paul, Minnesota for 35 years until he retired in 1999 to join the Senior PBA tour. For 6 years he traveled across the country from east to west participating in bowling tournaments.
In 2005 he and his wife Barb moved to Hot Springs Village. He continued to travel the surrounding states bowling in the Senior All Star Association tournaments. Bowling was the main thing on his bucket list. Besides his major love, he also loved to golf and sing and be with people. In the Village he golfed, joined the Knights of Columbus, the Men’s Cooking Club, the Cedar Mountain Singers, and the small choir at Sacred Heart Church. He sang karaoke at the Balboa Club in the Village almost every Friday night.
When he developed Parkinson’s disease he participated in Rock Steady Boxing classes at Good Samaritan Fitness Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barb, his son Chris (Carrie), his daughter Jennifer (Daniel), his grandchildren Patrick, Ashley and Gabe, his siblings Judy, Jim, Jerry, Barbara and GiGi, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of resurrection will be held Saturday, March 16th, 2024, 11:00am at the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Hot Springs Village. Arrangements made under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home inside the Hot Springs Village. Guests may register at cedarvalefuneralhome.com
