Kevin Kopp

Kevin Wesley Kopp September 21, 1961 – September 6, 2026 Kevin Wesley Kopp, 64, passed away on September 6, 2026, in Hot Spring Village, AR. Kevin was born September 21, 1961, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to Jack W. Kopp and Helen L. Wilfong Kopp. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1980 and continued his education at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, Economics and Business in 1984. He later earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in 1985. Kevin married Leesa Redding on June 1, 1985, and together they shared more than 41 years of marriage. Throughout his professional life, Kevin enjoyed an extensive career in finance, working with Freed Hardeman University, GMAC, Toyota Motor Credit Corporation, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, BBVA Compass Bank, Kubota Credit Corporation and SOZO Addiction Recovery Center. These jobs allowed him and his family to live in various states including Missouri, Kansas, California, Tennessee, Texas, Minnesota, Indiana and Arkansas. Athletics were a lifelong passion for Kevin. A talented tennis player, he became a NAIA national doubles champion in 1984, also achieving All American status in 1984, and later served as an assistant tennis coach at the University of Arkansas from 1984 to 1985. In later years, Kevin discovered a passion for pickleball, where his competitive nature remained on full display as he competed in and won numerous tournaments. Those who knew Kevin will remember him as generous, soft-spoken and caring man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed quiet evenings with Leesa, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorbacks, loving his many dogs throughout the years, and always appreciating a new truck. Kevin was also an active member of Village Church of Christ. His faith and church community were important to him, and he generously shared his time and talents by helping fellow church members with their computer and technology needs. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Kopp, his in-laws, Jim and Beverlee Redding, a nephew, Peyton Wilson Redding and a granddaughter, Mary Jo Carney. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Leesa; son, Karson; daughter, Karlee (Caleb); granddaughter, Kinlee Ann; brother, Steve (Sarah); brother-in-law, David Redding (Kay); and several nieces and extended family members. A memorial service celebrating Kevin’s life will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Village Church of Christ, 210 Balboa Road, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In his memory, donations may be made to SOZO Recovery Center, Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League or your favorite animal charity. Kevin leaves behind the memory of a quiet and generous man who loved his family, fierce competition, laughter, his faith community, his dogs, and lending a hand when someone needed him. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
