Mark S. Bunger, 72, of Hot Springs Village passed away December 18, 2022. Born in Rockford, Illinois to the late Richard and Patricia Bunger, Mark graduated from Harlem High School in 1968. He was a member of the sheet metal union for 21 years before starting his own HVAC business in 1991. Mark retired in 2014.
Mark married Vickie Stewart in 1969- they shared 53 years of faith, family and friendship. Their union was doubly blessed by their two sons; Bradley (Cindy) and Kevin Bunger. In 2009 Mark had a new lease on life after a lung transplant. His family is so thankful to God for the extra years they were able to spend with him.
Mark was a member of Balboa Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He had accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal savior at 23 years old while attending Lovejoy Covenant Church. Mark was a longtime member of 1st Baptist Church of Machesney Park until moving to Arkansas in 2017.
Mark will be missed by his wife, Vickie; sons Bradley and Kevin; siblings Cathy Johnson (Jeff) of Machesney Park, Illinois, Jeff Bunger (Ratna) of Wheeling, Illinois, and Matt Bunger (Leanne) of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; and church family at Balboa Baptist Church.
Mark was predeceased in death by both parents; his grandparents, Ralph and Faye Johnson; his nephew, Terry Lindaas.
A celebration of life for Mark will be held Thursday, December, 22, 2022 with visitation at 10:15 am and service starting at 11:00 am at Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, Ar.
