Mary Lavon Homan

Mary Lavon Homan passed away peacefully September 23, 2020 with family at her side. Mary was born March 2, 1934 in Oregon, Wisconsin. She moved to Waupun, Wisconsin during grade school where she soon met the love of her life, Albertus Homan. Al and Mary married following high school and enjoyed over 70 years, three children, seven grand children and seven great-grand children together.

Al and Mary spent much of their lives together in Wisconsin surrounded by family and friends. They moved to Hot Springs Village in 1997 following their retirement as proud owners of the Wittenberg, Wisconsin A&W Restaurant. Mary was an avid and talented artist and musician, and spent much of her time throughout the years painting, singing and playing her beloved piano. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Hot Springs Village where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Mary is survived by her husband, two sons and daughters-in-law, her grand and great grand children, extended family and many friends. She did not wish to have a celebration of life. She preferred to be remembered when you are doing something you love and enjoy; then smile, tell her that you love her and miss her and thank her for the love she’s given. Celebrate her life by living yours to the fullest, as she did.
