Richard R weber, age 85, of Hot Springs Village AR, passed away on August 6, 2025.
He was born on January 5, 1940 in Evanston IL. He was the son of Albert B Weber and Caroline (Schedlbauer) Weber. He was raised in Bristol, WI, graduating from Central high school in 1958. He played football and baseball while in school, and was invited to try out for the Milwaukee Braves. He chose instead to enlist in the US Airforce, serving from 1958 to 1962.
He married Jean Fitzpatrick Thomas of Kenosha, WI in 1970. They lived in Bristol until Dick retired from Tri-Clover (Alfa Laval) in 2000.
Dick and Jean moved to Hot Springs Village, AR, where he could golf as much as he wanted, described as a "playground for retired people ". He made many great friends both on and off the golf course. The family is very grateful for the support of these friends at the time of Jean's death and as he faced his own illness. Thank you for the excellent care provided by Elite Hospice and Loving Care assisted living.
Richard is survived by his stepchildren Cheryl (Darren) Bieda and Cynthia Proper, Kenosha WI, and David (Dorothy) Thomas, Warrens WI; grandchildren Sarah (Joel) Kapellusch, Timothy (Alexandra) Mikulecky, and Kevin Ballard; greatgrandchildren Chloe Ballard, Sofie Kapellusch, and Sam Mikulecky. He is also survived by his sister Maxine Rowan and sister-in-law Betty Weber.
He is preceded in death by his wife, granddaughter Jamie Ballard, his parents, and brothers Albert Jr, Donald, and Robert.
A memorial celebration will be held in Hot Springs Village.
