Sherry Kay (Reynolds) Gentry of Hot Springs Village, AR passed away peacefully into the arms of God on September 11, 2026, with her husband Jim by her side after a courageous long fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sherry was born on July 22, 1957, to Bill and Mary K. Reynolds. She attended Madill, OK schools and graduated in 1975.
She met the love of her life, Jim Gentry, in July of 1977 and they married on May 26, 1978. They were soulmates and best friends to the end. They were always a team and faced everything together. Sherry enjoyed traveling and she and Jim were able to travel to different places around the world. She especially enjoyed taking road trips in the corvette. She enjoyed going to concerts, being with friends, doing volunteer work, reading, watching movies, going to estate sales, doing crafts and lunches with her “Soul Sisters”.
Sherry had careers in banking, commercial real estate, and consumer protection products.
Sherry had a deep faith in God from the time she was a child. She always said God has a plan for us, and we must trust in him. She belonged to Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church at the time of her death.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Jim, of Hot Springs Village, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary K. Reynolds.
A celebration of life service is planned for a later date.
Cremation services are under the direction of CedarVale Funeral Home.
