Wayne William Andersen, 78, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 2 at Living Water Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village. Visitation will be held at the church at 1 p.m., prior to the services.Wayne was born May 5, 1942 in Chatfield, MN to Wendell and Virginia (nee Morris) Andersen. Hewas baptized as an infant at the United Methodist Church of Chatfield. He married Rachel (neeWittwer) on December 7 1963, and was confirmed at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church inWabasso, MN on January 10, 1965. He studied music at Mankato State College and was an active musician for his entire life, participating in and directing numerous bands, ensembles, and choirs in his church and community. He farmed for several years with family, and transitioned to aviation, doing flight instruction; agricultural, corporate, and charter flying; and owned aviation businesses in New Ulm and Mankato, MN.Wayne is survived by his wife, Rachel; Children: Curtis (Angie DiCiro) Andersen, David (Elisabeth)Andersen, and Todd (Gina) Andersen; Grandchildren: Nicole Andersen, Kirsten Andersen, Ellen (Aaron Wilson) Andersen, Zachary Andersen, Elizabeth (Ken Dwigans) Baca, Katie (Alejo Irurueta) Baca, Elise (Matthew) Stuebs, Erin Lau, Emma Lau, Rowan Andersen, Joselynn Andersen; Joshua Deegan, and Mystique Deegan; Great-Grandchildren William and Evelyn Dwigans, Aiden and Levi Stuebs. Survivors also include sisters Barbara (Charlie) Thompson, Wanda (Wallace) Berry and Bonnie (Ron) Johnson, sister-in-law Sue Andersen, and many nieces and nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Wendell Andersen, brother-in-law Leon Otto, and sister-in-law Maxine Otto.Arrangements entrusted with CedarVale Funeral Home.
